Acrylic
Acrylic surfaces provide traction over a concrete base and presents comfortable playing environment in hot weather. Court temperatures are lower in comparison to asphalt and concrete surfaces. The anti- glare finish also enhances visibility for players. The surface involves the application of multiple layers of acrylic paint on a base surface (concrete or asphalt) Acrylic is also referred to by other names such as synthetic, plexipave and synpave .
Plexipave
Plexipave is an acrylic, multi- layer coating system, generally applied in 3 coats. The final product is a durable, richly coloured surface of uniform texture, suitable for both indoor and outdoor venues. It is an ideal partner for tennis. It reacts to bounce and spin, its predictable grip and traction allow sure footing. The rounded sand used in its smooth-textured surface dramatically reduces ball and shoe wear. Plexipave is also widely used on basketball, netball and multipurpose sport courts.
Synthetic grass
Synthetic grass is a close weave pile, densely tufted polypropylene that offers a medium paced court surface with excellent stability and controlled slide for the player on the court. It responds to all standards of play. It can be installed over concrete, asphalt or road base.
